The Next Great Fighter

No one can deny the talent of Dominic Jenkins, the Texas champ, or the undefeated Roderick "Big Rod" Willis. However, the talent does not stop there. Josh Turland, Darkhorse Boxing's newest fighter, is looking to also make a name for himself.

On November 6, 2006, he won his professional debut defeating Richard Thomas before a home crowd in Dallas, Texas. With Al Smith and the undefeated Roderick Willis in his corner, Turland was very impressive during the four round fight. He scored a knockdown in the second round sealing what later became a win by unanimous decision.

Turland has been training with Darkhorse for six months. Smith, the owner and head trainer of the boxing stable, has high hopes for him due to his toughness and youth. We all should look for great things from this up and coming star as he continues on his journey to be Darkhorse's next great fighter
